HOUNDZ is the creative work of Christina Caroline Smith.
Established in 2023 the studio emerged as a direct result of her apprenticeship in welding and fabrication and the ability this gave her to create. Equipped with the skills to bring physical concepts to life, Christina was able to give voice to her unique design language, and a truly creative force has been set free. The studio is craft-focused, design + build , and is immersed in creating physical objects and spaces infused with playfulness and joy.
Life was fully breathed into this project as a result of the creative folks and friends that Christina is lucky to be surrounded by. This studio is a representation of herself, as well as the people she creates with and for : Humans chasing after the good life, hungry for beauty, wildness, and the grittiness that comes with being fully alive.
Skateboarding, music, motorcycles, the soft shapes and moods of the 1970's - these are some of the inspirations that stimulate the river of creativity.
More than a fabrication studio HOUNDZ is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the joy that one can take in being alive in this wild world.
